English teacher

Salary: £130 - £150 per day
Contract: Part-time

GSL Education are looking to appointa Qualified English teacher to work in Grimsby, starting from May 2024. As an English Teacher, you will be teaching GCSE pupils a mixture of English Language and English Literature. Responsibilities – English teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging English Literature and Language lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* To put into practice and present a curriculum that is suitably wide, balanced, pertinent, and differentiated for students and to support a specific curriculum area as necessary.
* Communicate with parents, teachers, and students, and uphold positive relationships with all of them.
* Manage high levels of student attainment through strong leadership and supervision.
* To continue personal development in the relevant areas including subject knowledge and teaching methods.
Requirements – English teacher:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and specialise in teaching English Language and Literature to GCSE standard.
* Have at least 6 months of prior teaching experience which can be referenced from within the last 2 years (placements can be referenced for NQTs or ECTs).
* Be a motivational and innovative teacher, able to engage students of all abilities.
* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be open to completing additional training if required.
* Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one.
