Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated night shift Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality support to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to enhance the lives of those in our care. As a night shift care assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with care throughout the night time.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs, maintaining accurate records of their progress.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to provide updates on care and any concerns.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care home environment.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
* Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
* A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing excellent care.
* Flexibility to work various nights to suit the needs of the home.
