Rutherford Cross is working with a leading global drinks company on a fantastic opportunity to join the Group Accounting & Controls team. This role is central to maintaining a robust financial control environment across all business units, ensuring compliance and governance standards are met. You’ll own the finance risk register, design and monitor global controls, and lead key month-end processes. Working closely with internal audit and senior stakeholders, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding financial integrity while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: Own and maintain a master list of finance controls, ensuring design and operational effectiveness Develop and drive a global control framework, focusing on profit and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and integrity Work with Business Unit Controllers to ensure consistent application of controls across all entities, including overseas operations Lead the Control Assessment and Risk Evaluation (CARE) process and close identified gaps Collaborate with Internal Audit and external auditors to test and strengthen controls Deliver key month-end processes (balance sheet, profit reconciliations, capital reporting) aligned to the Finance Calendar Provide risk analysis and insights to identify trends and opportunities Build strong relationships across finance teams to support compliance and reporting requirements Oversee risk management frameworks, compliance calendars, and regulatory returns Report monthly to Group Finance leadership on compliance and control issues What’s on offer: Competitive salary up to £60k bonus Early finish every Friday Work with a high-performing team in a premium drinks business Excellent long-term career prospects with strong internal movement If you’re passionate about controls, governance, and technical accounting, this is a chance to grow your career within a dynamic, global organisation.
