Lansdowne Secure Children’s Home is one of only 14 in England & Wales and features a modern, state-of-the-art building with excellent and diverse facilities. We are currently expanding the home following its successful reopening in January 2024.
As part of our expansion plans, we are seeking a Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of the service, helping to provide excellent care to some of the most vulnerable children. The Duty Manager plays a crucial role within the home’s structure, bringing a strong presence and supporting both children and staff to be their best. The post holder will be a member of the Operational Management Team (OMT) and will participate in a 24/7, 365-day rota. You will work with a dedicated and skilled team in an environment that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who need it most.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Lead and manage a team of Team Leaders and Secure Residential Support Workers to deliver high-quality childcare, with a focus on safeguarding.
* Manage and allocate resources daily to meet children’s needs in accordance with their care plans and the statement of purpose.
* Lead by example by staying informed of emerging challenges and applying best practices to meet demands, ensuring continuous improvement and professional development.
We Are Looking For People Who
* Have proven leadership skills
* Possess knowledge of workforce development and ongoing professional development
* Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management / Senior Practitioner for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification such as social work at Level 5 (willingness to work towards L5 Diploma if not already achieved)
