 
        Job Title: Demolition Estimator / Demolition Manager Location: Cambridge (Hybrid - mix of office and remote) Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Demolition Estimator to join a leading specialist contractor operating across the East of England. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong technical knowledge of demolition processes, cost estimation, and tender preparation to play a key role in securing and delivering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for demolition and enabling works projects, working closely with the pre-construction and operational teams. We are also open to applications from experienced Demolition Managers or Engineers who are looking to transition into an estimating-focused position and possess a good understanding of project costing and tender processes. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for demolition and enabling works projects. Review tender documentation, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work. Conduct site visits and assessments to support estimate preparation. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain quotations and clarify scope. Work collaboratively with the pre-construction, commercial, and operations teams to develop competitive bids. Contribute to tender submissions, value engineering proposals, and project planning. Track market trends and maintain up-to-date cost data for materials, labour, and equipment. Support business development by identifying potential opportunities and clients. Skills & Experience Proven experience in demolition estimating, enabling works, or civil engineering environments. Strong understanding of demolition methodologies, techniques, and associated regulations. Experience with cost estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to interpret drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. A proactive and collaborative approach to work. Desirable Background Prior experience in a Demolition Manager or Contracts Manager role looking to transition into estimating. Knowledge of temporary works, site clearance, or deconstruction projects. Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Civil Engineering.
