The role As part of the Engagement and Comms Team, the Internal Communications Brand Journalist & Content Producer is a fierce brand advocate with immense passion for our products, values, employee engagement and storytelling. Continually striving for improved, professional standards of Internal Communications, you will continually seek opportunities to promote employee brand engagement through clear, concise, digestible business communications, ensuring all Lush Group Colleagues have access to the right information, when they need, how they need it. You are a curious storyteller committed to finding, creating, and sharing need-to-know information about the business, our products and the brand through inspirational stories and engaging content to educate, motivate, and inspire our staff through written word, video, visuals and engagement opportunities. You will build positive relationships company-wide and hone your natural curiosity and journalistic skills to ensure you are present in the right spaces, meetings and conversations to gather stories and keep your finger on the pulse of all business activity. Using your excellent organisational and project management skills, you will lead the management of the Internal Communications content calendar to ensure messages and information are shared with the right audiences, through the right channels, at the right time. Key Responsibilities Stay informed about all business activity, projects, new initiatives, key milestones, launches, and events, and gather inspiring stories that will stimulate engagement with the brand and its values. Seek opportunities to work with areas of the business whose stories and work may be under-represented in the business to ensure our communications are representative of the global business, ensuring visibility of all aspects of Lush and that everyone is celebrated. Identify, develop and foster positive relationships with key people from all teams and encourage them to share their stories through our team. Create content and offer your written, creative and editorial expertise to collaboratively create content to be shared with the wider business through Internal Communications. Manage and maintain the internal business communications calendar. Manage content production, editorial planning, and sign off for key internal communications - The We Are Lush Weekly Newsletter and 6-monthly Lush Insiders - prioritising clarity, simplicity, accessibility, style, consistent brand identity and promoting engagement at every opportunity. Be proactive in providing feedback, editorial support and ideas to other business communicators or teams in the business to make good content, great. Manage global briefing and support successful global delivery and reach of communications you lead creation of in the UK for our global internal colleagues through the global comms lead network. Work collaboratively with the Internal Business Comms team to support business communicators and leaders with content planning and the creation of multi-channel, multi-medium comms plans for company communications across all appropriate and available channels. Support ad-hoc projects and tasks within the Internal Comms team. Seek feedback, KPIs and measurement of the communications you create and manage to drive improved standards, employee experience, reach and accessibility. Maintain positive relationships and seek opportunities to share knowledge and expertise, encourage best practices, and support the global internal communications network. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Excellent organisational skills Project Management experience Passionate about driving top communication and engagement standards Ability to create positive and collaborative relationships with existing teams Self-driven with excellent time management Excellent attention to detail, organised and comfortable adapting to several different comms systems Enjoy taking complex information and producing digestible, engaging comms for a mixed forum and audience Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities Ability to transform complex or detailed information into digestible, engaging content while identifying and prioritising key messages and information A passion for ensuring all communications at Lush are accessible to all in language and format Excellent writing skills and demonstrated ability to learn and tell compelling and effective stories about products, programs, people, technologies, and accomplishments Resilient and flexible, able to positively adapt to changing priorities and direction Desire for continual personal professional development to build on Internal Communications expertise and knowledge of industry trends.
