Job Title: SENDIASS Officer
Hours: Part-time (3.5 days per week, 9:00am–5:00pm)
Pay Rate: £26.62 per hour
We are looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated SENDIASS Officer to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they receive appropriate support to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, schools, and partner agencies
* Undertake assessments and support statutory SEND processes
* Provide impartial advice, guidance, and advocacy to families and stakeholders
* Support home-school liaison and deliver interventions to improve outcomes
* Facilitate and attend meetings, including mediation and tribunal processes
* Maintain accurate case records and manage a varied caseload
* Work collaboratively with services to ensure appropriate SEND provision
* Promote the welfare and inclusion of children and young people at all times
Requirements
* NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and tribunal procedures
* Experience working with children, young people, and families
* Excellent communication, organisation, and advocacy skills
