Account Executive

Our Sales Team is growing and we currently have an immediate opening for an Account Executive.


Job Overview

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for creating and winning Cleveland Diagnostics sales opportunities in an assigned territory or set of accounts. The AE establishes and continually develops relationships with primary customer targets (Urology) in assigned territories and, where applicable, works with National Account Managers, Sales & Market Access, and Reimbursement colleagues to access executive-level decision makers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Achieve sales volume and customer contact targets in assigned territory, driven from targeted and new customer leads.
* Proactively identify and build relationships with key decision makers in primary target markets within assigned territory.
* Create business plans for territory/assigned customer targets, including opportunity development, competitive strategies, and targets.
* Manage a pipeline of new business opportunities and accurately forecast the business.
* Continuously develop and manage a network of key opinion leaders within the assigned territory.
* Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent, quality interactions with customers.
* Provide ongoing customer insights, market trends, and competitive data to sales, marketing, and other internal teams.
* Leverage up-to-date product and technical expertise to present and discuss the technology and clinical benefits in terms relevant to customers.
* Continuously update and validate understanding of customers' changing clinical and operational issues and challenges.
* Use the sales process and Company resources to support the customer through their decision‑making process toward successful outcomes for Cleveland Diagnostics.
* Engage in strategic opportunity management by representing the company at medical conferences and technical exhibitions.
* Leverage other Company resources to provide technical, clinical, and business content that creates competitive differentiation.
* Utilize Salesforce.com.
* Ensure knowledge of and compliance with all Quality, Regulatory, and integrity policies and guidelines.
* Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
* Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
* Manage expenses within the guidelines of the “CDx Sales Expense Policy.”
* Demonstrate effective time management, expense reporting, and prioritization skills.
* Possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Exhibit outstanding influencing, interpersonal, and networking skills.
* Have strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
* Show effective presentation skills that produce understanding and impact.
* Be willing to work nights and/or weekends.
* Travel approximately 75% of working time (primarily within designated territory).
* Access PHI and manage it appropriately within HIPAA guidelines.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Scientific, or a related field.
* Current relationships in the Urology market.
* 1+ years of business‑to‑business or healthcare/medical sales experience in a customer‑facing role.
* Proficiency in executing the sales process and deal closure.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations in the past 36 months and no unresolved license revocation or suspension issues.
* Automobile insurance meeting state or local requirements (minimum liability limits $250,000 per person, $500,000 per accident, and $100,000 in property damage).

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience selling medical devices or diagnostics.
* Deep, long relationships in the Urology market.
* Experience in a sales role requiring follow‑up to close deals.
* Experience during a product launch.


Physical and Other Requirements

* Remote position.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Frequent use of personal vehicle, including out‑of‑state visits.
* Involvement outside of standard business hours.
* COVID‑19 vaccination highly recommended.
