Recycling Assistant
Hourly Rate: £12.71
Hours: 40 hours per week, working on a rota basis

As a Recycling Assistant at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient and customer-focused Recycling Centre service. You will support the recycling team in promoting reuse and recycling, assisting members of the public with their waste disposal and ensuring site operations meet Health & Safety and environmental standards.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working a 6 days on 3 days off rota, including weekends and Bank Holidays as required.

What will you be doing?
•Operating the Recycling Centre safely and efficiently in line with company procedures
•Providing excellent customer service and assisting members of the public with waste disposal
•Actively encouraging reuse and recycling to maximise recycling rates
•Ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) standards are followed at all times
•Carrying out daily site inspections and safety checks
•Identifying and intercepting reusable items in line with reuse principles
•Recording waste movements, inspections and site data accurately
•Wearing company uniform and PPE correctly at all times
•Supporting the Recycling Team Leader with daily operational requirements

•Previous experience in a customer-facing or recycling environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
