Mobile Support Pest Technician

The Vacancy
Job Purpose:
The Mobile Support Pest Technician is to provide support to the Pest Control Technician when either proactive or reactive pest issues are identified within stores, supermarkets, depots and living sites.
Key Accountabilities
1. Carry out by Pest Proofing and prevent and/or control pest infestation at allocated ASDA Stores and Distribution centres.
2. Cover any planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits for pest control when required by the business and approved by the National Pest Control Manager or Pest Operations Manager.
3. Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the ASDA Helpdesk.
4. Complete reports and communicate on a daily basis with store colleagues and line manager.
5. Build good working relationships with ASDA and CITY work Colleagues.
6. Take “ownership” of other pest related issues, i.e. cleaning/proofing, to resolve ongoing problems.
7. Carry out any on site training with ASDA/CITY colleagues
8. Use pesticides in a safe and responsible manner as specified under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.
9. To maintain accurate Time Sheets and Mileage Logs as required.
10. Maintain and keep vehicle and equipment supplied in good working condition.
11. To ensure sign off of completed works by Asda
12. To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the company.
13. To work in a manner to support the achievement of company KPIs
14. To work in a manner to support lowest cost to operate ethos
15. To ensure all systems are working to optimum energy efficiency.
16. When require support other engineering disciplines to provide flexibility to service delivery
17. The ensure the maintenance of equipment & vehicle to ensure it is fit for purpose.
18. All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
19. To carry out all tasks assigned within the allotted time period to the satisfaction of the company and client.
20. To be proficient in the use of written and verbal communication, report writing and recording procedures.
21. To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical and business developments.
22. Ensure all mandatory Evolve on-line training modules are completed.
23. To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
24. To work with company and ASDA colleagues to ensure that laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
25. To represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop a good working relationships with City and ASDA colleagues.
26. To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the City Management Team.
Financial Responsibility:
27. To carry out work in the most cost-efficient manner.
28. No budgetary accountability.
People Responsibility
29. To represent the company in a professional manner always and develop a good working relationship with the engineers Supervisors, Operations Manager and Head of Department.
30. To work with other technicians within the region / cell.

32. Royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diploma’s Part 1 and 2.
