Materials Market is a managed marketplace for bulky construction materials.
We’re fixing a fragmented, opaque market where pricing is political and access is unequal — building a fair, transparent system where customers and suppliers trade on equal terms.
We turn a fragmented network of merchants and distributors into one simple way to buy heavy, first‑fix materials. Customers — from DIYers to tradespeople — get competitive, market‑informed prices and reliable delivery through a single platform. Suppliers keep control, choosing the orders that suit their branches, fleets and margins.
We’re backed by Fuel Ventures and Active Partners, with a board including James Mackenzie, former Managing Director of Travis Perkins, and Tom Studd, former partner at Vitruvian Partners.
We’ve proven the core marketplace engine. Now we’re at an inflection point - and need to build the growth function that defines the next stage.
