Overview

Military Process Control Specialist/ Logistics Analyst, European Central Flow Team (ECFT) – Job ID: 3092166 – Amazon UK Services Ltd.

Shape the future of global e-commerce as a Process Control Specialist (PCS) at Amazon's European Central Flow Team, where you'll orchestrate millions of daily orders and innovate advanced fulfilment solutions. We’re revolutionizing how the world shops, supporting a vast network of Fulfilment Centres (FCs) operating 24/7 worldwide. As the primary escalation point for our warehouses and the crucial link between millions of daily orders and our dedicated Amazon Associates, the PCS ensures seamless fulfilment operations.

In this critical position, you'll drive Amazon Europe's workflow planning, risk mitigation, and cost and capacity management. Collaborating directly with FC partners, you'll provide guidance, identify and rectify workflow variances, and actively manage the journey of millions of customer orders from checkout to shipment. Our onboarding process equips you with the necessary knowledge, while our matrix structure empowers you to deliver, innovate, create, and grow. We’re seeking problem-solvers with a keen eye for optimization opportunities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate tasks while communicating effectively across all organizational levels. Your curiosity will drive you to understand the interdependencies of systems powering our operations.

Join us in this dynamic role and help shape the future of e-commerce fulfilment at Amazon.

Key responsibilities

* Master Amazon's proprietary flow management tools and processes, becoming the go-to for seamless FC operations interface
* Innovate and implement metrics, conduct thorough analyses to uncover optimization opportunities, and design and champion scalable, standardized solutions
* Cultivate cross-functional partnerships, translating complex concepts into accessible insights for stakeholders across all organizational levels
* Own and influence critical performance indicators, including customer promise attainment, flow planning adherence, and site-specific KPIs
* Teach peers and customers with knowledge-sharing initiatives, developing and delivering impactful training programs to elevate team capabilities

A day in the life

At Amazon's European Central Flow Team (ECFT), Process Control Specialists synchronize their schedules with Fulfillment Center partners, embracing a 4x10 work week. Working from the LCY Tilbury office, team members may have Sunday-to-Wednesday or Wednesday-to-Saturday shifts, covering both day and night operations. This schedule aligns with FC operations and provides a 3-day weekend each week. Wednesdays serve as the “overlap day” for focused project work, growth, training, and analyses.

A typical day starts with assessing current state: analysing order volumes, workstream distributions, and real-time data against network-wide metrics and plans. Using proprietary systems, you craft dynamic staffing plans and determine optimal associate placement and timing. Plans are refined with FC management and updated as orders flow and variables shift. When volumes surge, tools modulate inflow or redistribute workload. As capacity nears limits, we reschedule orders to preserve customer promises.

In case of disruptions—conveyor malfunctions, weather events, or software glitches—PCS teams mobilize quickly, implement mitigation strategies, and develop contingency plans. Through rapid testing and cross-functional partnerships, we resolve issues efficiently while maintaining customer focus and operational excellence.

About the team

Why Join ECFT

We optimize operations and reinvent fulfilment by collaborating with multiple stakeholder teams to identify high-impact opportunities. Our team pioneered FC optimization, developing a metrics suite and amassing data to uncover efficiency opportunities.
