As the Estimator you will work closely with the preconstruction team on the compilation and submission of winning tenders for a range of projects from £5m to £15m in value. Day to day duties: Arrange site inspections Provide accurate budgets/cost plans Provide detailed "take-off" and Bill of Quantities (BQ) Work on traditional Plan and Specification, Design and Build and possibly Partnered Contracts Obtain competitive prices for materials and sub-contract packages Oversee or complete quote analysis comparisons Check and amend rate/price build-ups where necessaryQualifications & Skills: Proven experience as an Estimator with a regional / national contractor Proficiency in estimating software and tools Strong analytical and mathematical skills Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines People are the key to their success and they work hard to deliver a welcoming working environment that supports and nurtures talent in all areas across the business.
