We are recruiting for a Therapy Assistant to join our Allied Health Professional Team based at our Outstanding CQC rated Hospice in Bradford
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 3 £24,937 to £26,589 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term 2 years
Hours: Part Time - 30 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant to support the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team based at Bradford Hospice, you will be working with patients who have palliative or end of life care needs.
Following assessments by Senior Therapists, the focus will be on providing ongoing interventions based on written care plans and patient-centered needs. The primary goal is to help patients maintain or improve their independence and quality of life.
The post holder will need to liaise with all service providers involved in the patient's care as required.
What we are looking for:
* Formal technical qualification e.g. BTEC or NVQ3 in health care related subject
* Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role or experience of working with people in a caring and supportive role
* Experience of working in Palliative and End of life care, frailty or long term conditions would be and advantage.
* Awareness of clinical governance frameworks and personal responsibilities within it
* Driving license and access to own vehicle is essential
