Job Responsibilities:
1. Management of IPR authorization:
o Maximize use of existing authorization.
o Manage broker for timely and accurate declarations.
o Maintain accurate records.
o Liaise with brokers to manage risks.
o Maintain internal tracking and reporting systems.
2. Compliance checks on import/export entries:
o Ensure proper documentation and retention.
o Implement verification systems.
o Make timely corrections.
3. Ownership of HTS codes in Farnborough:
o Regular accuracy checks.
o Verify with suppliers.
o Seek rulings when necessary.
4. ECCN and export control management:
o Coordinate with teams for correct classification.
o Keep database updated.
o Manage license applications and returns.
5. Support for CBAM implementation in the UK:
o Understand CBAM principles.
o Maintain adequate records.
6. Support to Senior Compliance Officer:
o Assist with AEO application.
o Support origin claims.
o Train teams.
o Report savings.
o Assist with duty relief applications.
7. Supervise compliance specialists.
8. Shift: Monday to Friday.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience, with a background in trade compliance. The role supports the Senior Compliance Officer in managing trade compliance matters daily in Farnborough, including team management.
Job Duties:
* Manage IPR program for compliance.
* Perform compliance checks on entries.
* Own HTS code accuracy in the UK.
* Manage export classifications and controls.
* Support UK CBAM implementation.
* Provide general support to the Senior Compliance Officer.
* Manage two compliance specialists.
Additional Requirements:
* Proficiency with Gulfstream enterprise systems and third-party software (e.g., SAP, GTS, Oracle, etc.).
* Strong understanding of Customs regulations.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
