Role overview:
Security Officers are responsible for supporting the Supervisor in maintaining a safe working environment and preventing loss or damage to company property.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with all security policies and enforce them.
2. Conduct regular patrols of the site to prevent unauthorized access and safeguard company property.
3. Follow all company policies and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
4. Search staff in accordance with current procedures and policies.
5. Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
6. Perform other reasonable activities as required by the business.
7. Ensure staff, contractors, and visitors are booked in correctly.
8. Manage all equipment bookings and ensure proper sealing of supplier vehicles upon arrival and departure.
Skills and Experience:
1. Experience working in health and safety requirements.
2. Basic computer literacy skills.
3. Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
4. Team player supportive of colleagues.
5. Respond promptly and positively to issues in a fast-paced, changing environment.
6. Experience in the security industry is desirable.
7. Knowledge of common law powers related to detaining potential offenders is desirable.
