In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting the equipment and processes used to build Gas Analysis products to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, increase production velocity, and develop best practices within the production process and conformance to product specifications. Coordinates the projects for the introduction of new products and processes and support localization projects. This role is based in Cumbernauld, Scotland, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities
* Develop safe manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; interfacing with equipment suppliers.
* Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, and costs.
* Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
* Develop manufacturing processes to meet product requirements and tests manufacturing methods while developing training and evaluation guidelines for assembly operators; train operators in the area of responsibility.
* Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished products and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
* Develop and specify through process maps, manufacturing processes of all levels of complexity necessary to produce the product. Provide direction to overall manufacturing process documentation strategy.
* Develop working instructions, workmanship standards and process documents, and ensure they are followed; define and prepare technical specifications for new equipment.
* Identify potential outsource opportunities and build and maintain relationships with vendors.
* Interact with vendors for acquiring and maintaining new equipment.
* Work with tool designers and designer/drafters to define tooling and fixturing requirements and initiate tooling improvement projects.
* Work with QA, Materials, and Design Engineering to disposition discrepant parts and assemblies, assign causes, and initiate corrective action. Identify system-related causes and initiate action to correct.
* Involved with LEAN and continuous improvement projects.
* Collaborates with New Product Development team for implementing new products and/or improvement of existing products.

For This Role, You Will Need
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Management, Industrial or equivalent).
* 2–5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering.
* Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in supervising benchmarks using tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar.
* Knowledge of technical drawing and assembly and/or mechanical processing processes.
* Solid understanding of MRP systems.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and the main continuous improvement techniques.
* Experience in working with Bill of Materials, technical drawings, and specifications.
* Ability to handle several tasks and balance multiple priorities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills.
