Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Field Engineer to join our International Sales team in the UK. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to support a defined set of territories, accounts and channel partners; supporting the initial 'middle of the sale' triage process by attending customer meetings, understanding their future needs, expertly positioning the value of Curtiss‑Wright products/services, and interfacing internally within the business on technical details to ensure the customers' requirements are met.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver presentations detailing Curtiss‑Wright products and solutions to customers; discuss how Curtiss‑Wright products could be used to solve the customer's problems.
* Capture and analyse the customer's requirements, identify candidate solutions, and discuss with Business Units (BUs) to produce a compelling and interoperable solution.
* Develop technical architectures, discussion documents, and technology presentations in support of customer engagements for both internal and external reviews.
* Work with Business Units (BUs) to produce a solution; discuss and refine with the customer ahead of final proposal.
* Perform analysis of competing solutions to ensure that the strengths and weaknesses of the Curtiss‑Wright solution are understood and a compelling offer is being made.
* Work with the Bid Support Teams and Business Units to prepare a winning proposal meeting the technical needs of the customer.
* Develop and maintain strong face‑to‑face relationships with customers that may necessitate overseas travel when required (likely a few times a month).
* Review new product designs from Business Units and solicit market feedback from the customer base to support the Business Unit's development plans.
* Develop strong working relationships with Product Marketing Managers in the Business Units.
* Assist Product Marketing Managers in defining new products by reviewing new product proposals and providing market feedback.
* Serve as company expert in providing the highest‑level technical support for customers.
* Have good communication skills to convey technical requirements and technical support.
Qualifications
* Minimum of a Degree, or equivalent, in Electronic Engineering / Computer Science.
* Technical sales experience (pre‑sales preferred).
* The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, while sharing a team vision and executing toward a common goal.
* An analytical mind and demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
* Curious mindset with genuine interest in technology and the aerospace & defense market.
* Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to foster strong relationships.
* Exceptional time and task management skills.
* Professional attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver results.
* Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 40% of the time).
* Generalists valued; relevant domain or technology area expertise desirable.
