Service Growth: Strategically grow and develop the learning and disability services, identifying opportunities for expansion and ensuring the service is sustainable and future-focused.
Partnerships & Collaboration: Collaborate with families, external professionals, and local agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care and the inclusion of individuals in the wider community.
Budget & Resource Management: Manage the service budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to provide high-quality care while maintaining financial sustainability.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor service performance and implement improvements based on feedback, audits, and data analysis to ensure services are always evolving and improving.
Marketing & Awareness: Promote the learning and disability service within the local community, raising awareness of the services provided and building strong relationships with potential clients and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience:
Experience: Significant experience in managing learning and disability services or a similar field, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities within this sector.
Leadership: Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage teams.
Knowledge of Care Regulations: Deep understanding of CQC standards and other regulatory frameworks in domiciliary care and learning disability services.
Person-Centered Approach: Passion for delivering person-centered care and empowering individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategies that grow the service while ensuring quality and compliance.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders, from staff to families and external partners.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure the smooth running of the service and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Registered Manager Status: Must hold or be willing to work towards CQC Registered Manager status.
Relevant Qualifications: A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
Experience in Learning Disabilities: Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, ideally in a managerial capacity.
CPD: Ongoing commitment to professional development, with a focus on learning disabilities and regulatory requirements.
