Responsibilities & Day-to-day duties
* Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site, from fault diagnosis to inspection and testing.
* Carry out expert fault diagnosis and coordinate repairs across the estate.
* Deliver a regime of testing and inspection for electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, wiring and controls.
* Support predictive maintenance programmes aligned with asset management plans.
* Identify and implement improvements to electrical services and infrastructure.
* Maintain accurate inventory of electrical supplies and components.
Note: This position involves manual work, which may include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
Working Hours & Call Rotation
Full‑time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8 am–4:30 pm, Friday 8 am–4 pm. Participation in an on‑call rota will be required after six months, with additional pay and overtime rates.
Essential Experience
* Previous experience in a similar working environment.
Qualifications
* City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Qualification
* Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391)
* Latest Edition Wiring Regulations – BS7671 (18th Edition)
* Full UK Driving Licence
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role. Many positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and trade control restrictions.
