Head Housekeeper – HC-One
Location: Newark-on-Trent, England, United Kingdom | Employment type: Part-time | Hours: 23 per week
We are hiring for a Head Housekeeper to join HC-One. This is a part-time role with full flexibility required. You’ll lead the housekeeping team to keep every area spotless, plan and manage daily schedules, and ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable home for our Residents in Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes.
Responsibilities
* Managing the cleaning rota and daily schedules
* Leading by example and supporting the housekeeping team
* Overseeing laundry for personal and shared items
* Ordering cleaning products and supplies
* Following and updating infection control procedures
* Keeping records and completing cleaning checks
* Ensuring safety and COSHH guidelines are met
You’ll plan ahead but be ready to jump in when needed. No job is too small if it helps keep Residents safe and happy.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in housekeeping and team leadership
* Strong organisational skills and awareness of Health & Safety and infection control
* Friendly, positive, and kind in all interactions
* Safeguarding awareness; ability to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know how to respond; safeguarding training will be provided
