Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will contribute to Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care, getting to know our residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain high standards of care, support residents with daily activities, and assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through activities while administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records of the care you provide and to build strong team relationships. HC-One values inclusivity, safeguarding, and a person-centred approach to care.
This is a full-time position of 33 or 44 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity and independence.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and model high standards of care.
* Know residents and families to ensure personalised care plans and effective communication.
* Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; administer medication as required.
* Maintain accurate care records and build strong relationships with the team.
* Demonstrate kindness in all interactions with residents, families and co-workers.
Qualifications
* Ideally have completed a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
* Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Strong communication, time management and record-keeping skills; positive energy and ability to relate well to others.
* Full-time availability of 33 or 44 hours per week.
