This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to work with the Community Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist Team within Specialist Palliative Care Services. We are based at the Macmillan Day Care Unit, Royal Victoria Hospital, Dundee.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse educated to degree level
* Experience of working as a Band 6 and some community nursing would be desirable
* Experience and post registration education in palliative care is required
* Must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the NMC Register
* You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment
Role overview:
* The Associate Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care provides expertise and influences patient care via the primary carer by exercising high levels of judgement and decision making in clinical care
* Brings the highest standards of clinical care to patients and their families through a range of activities, including collaboration with the wider specialist palliative MDT and primary care colleagues
* Advances clinical practice, provides consultation for healthcare professionals, teaches, provides clinical leadership and contributes to research and audit functions
