Handcross Park School is a co-educational independent preparatory school for children aged 2 to 13, located in Handcross, West Sussex. We are seeking a General Manager to oversee our catering operations, reflecting the school's commitment to providing a supportive and enriching environment for students and the wider community.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our on-site catering team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious, and appealing food for pupils, staff, and visitors, including full board for residential students, daily meals, events, and external hospitality.

Job Description
1. Oversee daily kitchen and dining service operations.
2. Develop diverse, seasonal menus that meet nutritional standards and delight pupils aged 2–13.
3. Ensure high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen management.
4. Manage catering staff: recruitment, training, rotas, and performance management.
5. Collaborate with teaching and pastoral teams to support special diets, themed days, and school events.
6. Maintain supplier relationships and manage catering budgets effectively.
7. Uphold the welcoming, family-style dining ethos of the school.
Qualifications
