An opportunity has arisen for a Pastry Sous Chef to join the Jumeirah Carlton Tower. Lead and mentor the kitchen team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, maintaining efficiency and consistency in food preparation and service.
Manage food and labor costs through effective planning and waste reduction strategies.
Standardize and implement recipes to ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation.
Supervise procurement and inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and supplier relationships.
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across all kitchen processes.
Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless and exceptional guest service.
Resolve kitchen challenges promptly, maintaining service quality during high-pressure situations.
Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, timesheets, and performance reporting.
Extensive experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Junior Sous Chef in upscale or high-volume kitchens.
Proficiency in cost control, recipe standardization, and kitchen operations.
Certification in food hygiene and safety standards or equivalent qualifications.
