Operational Trainer As an operational trainer for Fish and Thistle you will design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for employees on insurance products, compliance, and operational procedures, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet business and regulatory goals. What you’ll be doing: Deliver on-the-job training across operational departments and to key external partners. Conduct training needs analysis using performance data, QA findings, audits, and stakeholder input. Map capability gaps to curricula across new business, MTAs, renewals, and claims. Create concise, practice‑led learning: SOPs, quick-reference guides, e‑learning, facilitator packs, and job aids. Align materials with policies, controls, and system releases; keep content version‑controlled and current. Deliver induction, systems, process, and refresher training (virtual and in‑person). Partner with Operations, Quality/Compliance, HR/L&D, and IT to align training to priorities and releases. Provide clear training plans, calendars, and progress reporting. Support change initiatives (new systems, processes, products) with readiness training and comms. What we’re looking for: Proven experience delivering operational/process and systems training in a fast‑paced environment. Industry experience relevant to the operation (e.g., insurance/broking, financial services, shared services, contact centre). Strong facilitation, classroom management, and coaching skills. Ability to convert SOPs and process maps into clear, scenario‑based learning. Confident with LMS/LXP tools, virtual delivery platforms, and content authoring tools. Data‑literate: evaluate training impact and translate insights into improvements. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and planning. Accreditation in L&D (e.g., CIPD L&D, TAP, Train-the-Trainer) or equivalent (Desirable not essential). Why PIB Group?
