On behalf of our client, a civils company, we are seeking an experienced M&E Planner to join a major infrastructure project on a freelance basis. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to make a tangible impact.
Role Overview:
As the M&E Planner, you'll be responsible for developing and managing detailed M&E installation schedules, collaborating closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure coordinated and timely delivery. You will also monitor progress, anticipate potential delays, and work with project stakeholders to implement recovery plans and manage interfaces between disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed M&E programmes using Primavera P6 or MS Project
Liaise with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure aligned scheduling
Track progress against milestones and report deviations or risks
Assist with resource and cost forecasting for M&E elements
Provide planning input during coordination and project meetings
Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement processes
Requirements:
HND / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related field)
Proven experience as a Planner on M&E or building services projects
Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Full UK driving licence
