Overview
You will be technically adept problem solver, based on‑site and will support development of new behavioural and MRI protocols aimed to understand the melanopsin pathway. You will design experimental protocols and collect data, collaborate extensively across disciplinary boundaries, and pursue research that delivers real world solutions. To do this, you will proactively develop experiments, seek improvements in the research process, clearly communicate progress, schedule experiments, lead technical and main data collection in MRI and behavioural, analyse data, write ethics and manuscript drafts and perform administrative tasks and record keeping to a high level as required. You will also participate in lab meetings and keep collaborators updated, as well as present at internal and external scientific meetings. The researcher will be based at the Oxford University Center for Integrative Neuroimaging.
The position is an excellent opportunity for a candidate, either immediately after their first degree or an early career postdoc looking for further training, interested in gaining research experience in a world‑leading neuroimaging environment with a translational focus. Neuroimaging training will be provided through the FMRIB Graduate Course, and bespoke training opportunities can be designed depending on the candidate's research background.
