Salary: £ 43,649
What you’ll be doing:
* Maintaining and updating design documentation for in-service Small Arms Ammunition
* Prepare technical documentation including certificates of design, technical reports and procurement specifications
* Investigation of incidents involving in-service Munitions at any stage of their manufacture, storage, transportation or usage lifecycles.
* Support proofing activities
* Support modelling of product and product features
* Provide technical expertise to product safety and environmental management systems
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Apprenticeship in Mechanical/ Manufacturing or related subject, or equivalent experience
* Fully conversant with MS Office Suite 2010 (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Desirable:
* Understanding of Small Arms Ammunition design and manufacturing processes
* Degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing or related subject
* Understanding of change and configuration management processes
* Knowledge of Bills Of Material
* Proficient user of modelling software

As a Through-Life Support Engineer in Small Arms Ammunition, you’ll report to a Senior Engineer and will primarily be involved within the in-service phase of the product lifecycle where you provide critical post design services to ensure safe, and compliant products for the customer.
