Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness and assisting with food preparation. Duties
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
* Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
* Support the cooking team during busy service periods by providing timely assistance.
* Help with inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and reporting any shortages.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that hygiene standards are met at all times.
* Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by promptly reporting any hazards or issues.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills would be advantageous.
* Experience in hospitality or hotel environments is beneficial for understanding service standards.
* A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs will be highly regarded.
