Job Description
We are looking for an experienced AI Specialist to enhance the integration of AI tools within the clients engineering organisation. This role is crucial for evaluating current and new AI solutions to boost engineering efficiency and governance.
Responsibilities
1. Assess and evaluate existing AI tools approved within the organisation, such as Rovo for Confluence and Microsoft Copilot.
2. Evaluate external or unapproved tools, including GitHub Copilot and Local IDE AI assistants.
3. Provide recommendations balancing capability, governance, security, and ROI.
4. Lead the process of navigating organisational governance frameworks to secure approval for new AI tools.
5. Collaborate with internal security, compliance, and platform teams to streamline adoption considerations for tools.
6. Identify bottlenecks within squads and match them with AI-assisted solutions.
7. Drive adoption strategy and training to maximise benefits for engineering teams.
8. Enable AI tooling early in the engineering process, including local IDEs, CI/CD integration, and documentation automation.
9. Pilot, configure, and integrate AI tools into engineering workflows.
10. Support evaluation of AWS-based AI solutions to enable future platform capabilities.
