Finance & HR Assistant

We are expanding our business operations team and are looking for a Finance & HR Assistant with strong attention to detail and organisational skills. This role is part‑time (minimum 20 hours per week) but flexible, hybrid, with some days from home after probation.
Responsibilities
 * Invoice creation and payment chases.
 * Bank reconciliation and comparison.
 * Reporting against targets and creating board summaries.
 * Ad‑hoc duties when required.
 * Answering queries via email and telephone.
 * Processing expenses and supplier payments.
 * Assisting with onboarding new team members.
 * Delivery and monitoring of all HR admin, including employee benefits, payroll management (sickness, holidays, parental leave, etc.).
 * Updating and maintaining HR systems.
 * Experience in Xero is desirable.
About You
 * Computer literate and confident using new technology systems.
 * Flexible and agile, comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
 * Strong business acumen, working closely with leadership to create reports.
 * Forensic attention to detail, prides on accuracy.
 * Proactive and confident applying own initiative.
 * Ability to maintain and develop good relationships with suppliers and customers.
 * Ideally, some generalist experience in a modern accounts department and progression toward accounting qualifications.
