Salary: Grade C - £25,583 - £25,989 per year. Your salary will grow as you progress, with increases linked to learning milestones and skills development, starting at Grade C (£25,583) and potentially reaching Grade G (£33,143).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Property Services team. As an Apprentice Chartered Surveyor, you'll help ensure our schools, offices, and public facilities are safe, welcoming, and future-ready. This role offers daily learning opportunities and the chance to make a positive impact.
This apprenticeship is your gateway into a professional career in building surveying. You'll gain hands-on experience alongside qualified surveyors and engineers, learning about our property management and development processes.
In the role of Chartered Surveyor, Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship (Building Surveyor Pathway) BSc (Hons), your responsibilities will include:
1. Undertaking a 5-year apprenticeship programme facilitated by Nottingham Trent University, with a day release to the university.
2. Visiting buildings to carry out inspections and identify repairs or improvements needed.
3. Recording building conditions and maintaining accurate information in our property database.
4. Learning to prepare simple reports, drawings, and cost estimates for work projects.
5. Supporting experienced surveyors in planning and managing maintenance and repair jobs.
6. Working with contractors and teams to ensure work is done safely and to a high standard.
7. Understanding safety rules and regulations applicable to building work.
