Production and Logistics Finance Manager

As the Production and Logistics Finance Manager, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities. Your insights will drive performance improvements and strategic decisions, making a tangible impact on our business. You will chair monthly review meetings with key stakeholders, offering recommendations that shape our future, and collaborate closely with our supply chain team to ensure seamless alignment between operational and financial plans.

* Working hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday, with 1-hour unpaid lunch
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Manage all budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities for Production and Logistics, including reporting
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, variance analysis, and key performance metrics
* Chair monthly review meetings with stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations
* Build detailed finance reports to support business partners at all levels
* Work closely with the supply chain team for alignment between operational and financial plans
* Perform operational financial appraisals of new capital investments for Board approval
* Attend operational meetings, providing financial support and insights
* Calculate and set internal transfer prices for manufactured products
* Evaluate purchase price variances related to manufacturing and procurement
* Coordinate stock counts with external auditors for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
* Manage HMRC excise and deferred duty ledgers, ensuring compliance
* Audit stock accuracy and value within internal teams
* Support procurement for raw and packaging materials, including contract evaluation and pricing
* Monitor utility consumption, contract adherence, and provide forecast insights
The ideal candidate:
* Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or AAT
* Experience in Consumer Finance, Retail, or Manufacturing industries is desirable but not essential
* Proficient with computerised accounting packages; SAP experience is advantageous
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Flexible, with the ability to meet short deadlines
