Role Overview
What does this role involve:
As an Assistant Store Manager, you support the Store Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the store and take full responsibility in their absence.
Inspiring and supporting staff and volunteers to deliver an excellent customer journey that reflects our values, and contributing towards the success of the store by:
* Ensuring highest standard of customer service
* Achieving targets
* Maintaining a high standard of visual merchandising
* Maximising sales through physical and digital channels
* Supporting the recruitment and development of volunteers
* Achieving expectations within campaign activities
* Working with the manager to generate stock
Our stores are fast‑paced and trade 7 days a week, meaning we require flexibility from our store team to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Due to the volume of donations, it can be physically demanding at times, yet it is also rewarding as you help fund life‑saving research.
