Head & Neck are looking for full time enthusiastic Operational Support Manager to join the team to help manage the cross site directorate. This role is crucial to the operational running of the Directorate and as such the successful candidate will need to have a solid understanding of the NHS and some experience of managing people and pathways to ensure we meet key access targets. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can balance conflicting priorities and undertake project work across the Directorate. Having experience in managing administration staff, budgets and outpatient targets will be beneficial. As a key part of the management team, you will be responsible for providing leadership across the Directorate and deputising for the Service Manager when required. In return you will be supported to develop your skills and gain valuable senior management experience. Qualifications Essential criteria Degree Level Application or equivalent experience Desirable criteria Specialist knowledge across range of procedures, underpinned by theory Other requirements specific to the role Essential criteria Ability to be adaptable to gain support and influence improvements Ability to work collaboratively on delivering improvements. Experience Essential criteria Experience of service and quality improvement within a healthcare setting. An understanding of hospital procedure and policies. Experience of risk and governance in a healthcare setting Desirable criteria Experience in H&N services. Previous experience of Bookings Management roles in the NHS
