Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate occupational therapist to work in the community to improve the lives and experiences of young people with learning disabilities or Autism.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people under 18 years with learning disabilities, Autism spectrum conditions, behaviours that challenge and mental health difficulties.
* Manage a caseload and offer a range of clinical interventions to meet the mental health needs of children with learning disabilities or autism and their families.
* Contribute to the overall management and development of occupational therapy services under supervision.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with other services to ensure seamless, person‑centred delivery.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments with patients and families/carers, including specific occupational‑focused assessments and case formulation.
Person Specification
Essential
* Relevant occupational therapy qualification.
* Experience or knowledge of working with children.
* Experience or knowledge of working with individuals with learning disabilities or Autism.
Desirable
* Experience or knowledge of working in a community setting.

Band: 7
Salary: £49,387 to £56,515 a year, pro rata
Contract: Fixed term, 12 months, part‑time
