We are looking for a detail-focused Technical Operative to take technical ownership of a production line, ensuring all products are produced and packed to full customer specification.
You will play a critical role in maintaining product quality, safety, and compliance, working closely with QA and production teams to optimise performance and minimise risk.
What You Will Do
Production & Compliance
* Set up and verify machines with correct production data before start-up.
* Complete pre-start checks and ensure specifications (programmes, films, date codes) are correct.
* Monitor and control metal detection and check-weigh systems to ensure full compliance.
* Identify, report, and record faults, escalating issues where required.
Quality & Food Safety
* Monitor product quality and take corrective action when needed.
* Ensure all products meet quality, safety, and legal standards.
* Complete all documentation accurately and on time.
* Work closely with QA to maintain compliance and GMP standards.
Raw Materials & Yield
* Monitor raw material performance and communicate any issues promptly.
* Support actions to maximise yield and minimise waste.
Hygiene & GMP
* Maintain high hygiene standards and follow “clean as you go” practices.
* Support structured cleaning processes to ensure a safe working environment.
What You Will Bring
* Experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.
* Understanding of food safety, quality, and compliance standards.
* Knowledge of metal detection and check-weigh systems.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
* Good communication skills and ability to elevate issues effectively.
* A proactive, reliable approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
