We are seeking a Family Engagement Officer to join our team at Brookwood Primary & Nursery School, part of Bourne Education Trust.
As a Family Engagement Officer, you will play an integral role within the Safeguarding Team, acting as a trusted and effective link between the school, pupils, and their families. You will be responsible for improving outcomes and opportunities for pupils, taking on designated safeguarding responsibilities (DDSL), and delivering focused family support to enhance social and emotional development, health, wellbeing, and attendance.

Key Responsibilities Include
* Work preventatively with identified families to provide early intervention, signposting, support and guidance
* Initiate contact with parents/carers within a school context fostering positive relationships and support building their engagement with their child's learning and development
* Design, promote and facilitate a flexible and effective range of intervention programmes and workshops to support parents/carers of children identified as vulnerable
Essential Requirements include:
* Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
* GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
* Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development
Desirable
* Relevant training and experience in any of the following areas: ELSA, Drawing & Talking, SMHL and Trauma Informed
