We are currently recruiting a Social Worker to join Team 2 – Assessment and Long-Term Team in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and busy team delivering high-quality services to children and families across the district.
About the Role:
The team is based in Airedale and covers the areas of Airedale, Castleford, Knottingley, and Pontefract. You will be joining a friendly and experienced team consisting of 7 Social Workers and an Advanced Practitioner, supported by a permanent Team Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake child and family assessments during duty weeks.
* Manage a long-term caseload, ensuring children receive appropriate safeguarding and support.
* Develop and implement care and support plans for children and families.
* Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to achieve positive outcomes.
* Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements.
