Commissioning Engineer Location: Varied locations across Affinity Water regions (London) Galliford Try is looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team and deliver high-quality MEICA and commissioning solutions for water industry projects. You’ll be at the heart of project delivery, ensuring systems and processes integrate seamlessly and operate to the highest standards. What you’ll be doing: * Lead commissioning delivery for assigned projects from outline design through to project takeover. * Develop and implement Commissioning Plans, Strategies, and documentation aligned with project scope and timelines. * Manage interfaces with existing assets and collaborate with Client Asset Operations Teams for smooth integration. * Oversee MEICA installation to ensure compliance with technical requirements, client specifications, and WIMES standards. * Coordinate and supervise testing and commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT, dry and wet commissioning. * Engage with specialist teams (DSEAR, Technical Authors, Document Controllers) to ensure clarity on deliverables and timescales. * Support training plans and ensure operational readiness for project handover. * Maintain rigorous safety standards and adherence to Galliford Try processes throughout all activities. What we’re looking for: * Proven experience in MEICA and commissioning delivery within the water industry. * Strong site management skills and ability to resolve issues promptly. * Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment used in water treatment processes. * Structured approach to commissioning plant, equipment, and processes. * Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation. * Ideally qualified or experienced to act as an LV Electrical Authorised Person (EAP) under Electrical Safety Rules. Essential: * CSCS/ECS Card in appropriate discipline * BS7671 (18th Edition) * Full UK driving licence * SSSTS. Desirable: * EUSR National Water Hygiene Card * SMSTS * First Aid at Work * City & Guilds Authorised Person Module * DSEAR awareness, CompEx ExF or equivalent * PROFIBUS Commissioning and Maintenance Why join us?
