SEN Teaching Assistant – Fleetwood Start Date: Contract Type: Full-time, long-term Location: Fleetwood Agency: Teaching Personnel Teaching Personnel are pleased to be supporting a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Fleetwood who are seeking a Skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated SEN team after February half term. About the Role: This position is based within the school’s SEN hub, working closely with specialist staff to support pupils with a range of identified needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting SEN hub staff with teaching & learning activities. Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm, structured environment. Providing targeted support to children and young people with additional needs. Offering 1:1 and small‑group assistance where required. Helping to create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning setting. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential). Be resilient, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure. Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills. Be able to work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
