Assistant Planner Position at a Leading Architectural Firm
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, dynamic, and experienced Assistant Planner to join a close-knit team of Planners within a leading Architectural Firm.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients’ stakeholders, including in-house designers, to produce proposals and engage proactively with local authority case officers to facilitate decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, dynamic team during an exciting period of expansion.
We are seeking applications from candidates holding an RTPI-accredited degree in Planning or a related field, with previous public sector experience. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the UK Planning System, particularly Permitted Development Rights and Householder Applications, and be excellent communicators.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality advice to in-house designers and architects to ensure development complies with local and national policies and guidance.
2. Advise in-house consultants on early project feasibility and associated risks.
3. Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing communications and actions.
4. Identify opportunities to improve engagement and relationships with Local Planning Authorities.
