Position: Intermediate/Project Quantity Surveyor
Location: Southern Counties or London
Salary: £30,000 – £55,000 DOE

About the Role:
We are seeking an Intermediate/Project Quantity Surveyor to join our consultancy. This role will predominantly involve working on projects in the southern counties, with a focus on London. You will be involved in all stages of construction projects, from inception through to final account and life cycle management. As a key member of the team, you will gain valuable experience across the full spectrum of Quantity Surveying duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Construction
*
Conduct feasibility studies and perform risk and value management assessments
*
Prepare tender enquiries and procurement plans
*
Cost planning, tender analysis, and negotiating tenders/contracts
Construction
*
Draft contracts and manage contract administration
*
Oversee change management, assess and issue instructions
*
Manage applications, payments, and final account negotiations
*
Report on project progress
Other Activities
*
Fund monitoring and reinstatement valuations
*
Chair meetings and liaise with clients and stakeholders
In-house training will be provided, and you’ll be encouraged to start your RICS APC if you're not already a member.
Skills & Experience:
*
Experience as an Assistant QS looking for the next step, Intermediate Surveyors, or Project QS
*
Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
*
A personable nature with a desire to learn and progress
*
Solid understanding of construction methodologies and techniques
*
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
*
A full clean driving license and own vehicle
*
Degree (or equivalent) education preferred but not essential
