We are currently looking to recruit a Housing Services Team Member to join our amazing team This will be on a full time, permanent basis.
The focus of this position is to ensure our properties within an allocated group are secure and fit for purpose. To achieve this, you will carry out daily house checks of all properties such as checking that the water is running, fire extinguishers are put up, heating is working etc. Monitor health and safety in the property and raising any concerns straight away, carry out minor repairs within your ability, and report any major repairs required to our maintenance department. You will also complete room checks, collect service user signatures and rent payments on a weekly basis, deal with any incidents of anti-social behaviour, and assist with any internal moves that need to take place.
The hours for this position are 37.5 per week, which normally includes day shifts that are 8.30am – 5.00pm, or 9.00am-5:30pm, and a minimum of one later shift a week which is 12.30pm - 9.00pm. You will work five days over seven, with a minimum of 1 in 4 weekends. At AMAT, we are focused on delivering the best service we can to our service users, and operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year service in order to achieve this. As such, you will be required to work bank holidays (including Christmas day and New Year's Day) on a rota basis. Therefore, flexibility really is key to this role
The ideal candidate will be proactive and self-motivated, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. You will also need to have excellent IT and communication skills, with the assertiveness to build positive working relationships with our service users, whilst also being able to enforce the rules of our daily license, and deal with challenging and anti-social behaviour professionally. A full manual driving license is essential to this role due to the location of our properties (Maidstone and Medway locations).
Experience in a similar role would be an advantage, however we do provide a comprehensive training package and welcome applications from those with transferable skills who are passionate about working in a role such as this in this sector
