Role Overview
The EU Mediation team is looking for a Risk Manager to manage critical and high‑impact disputes involving intellectual property and policy violations. The role requires using judgment, data analysis, communication, and collaboration to protect customers and sellers, maintain a trustworthy marketplace, and improve program efficiency.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Investigate, manage, and resolve high‑impact intellectual property disputes (counterfeit, trademark, copyright) and other policy violations.
* Use high‑level judgement and critical thinking to replay and re‑examine complex enforcement actions.
* Collaborate with partner teams to respond to, investigate, and resolve high‑impact incidents.
* Write legal responses in English to present Amazon’s view on disputes to external independent mediators.
* Analyze policy and process gaps, develop and implement solutions with program teams.
* Own and manage projects to improve operational and process efficiency and scale the EU Mediation program.
Basic Qualifications
* Fluent in English and German or French.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
* Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent.
* Experience handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
* Professional auditing qualification or similar risk/compliance credentials.
* Experience defining program requirements and leveraging data and metrics to drive improvements.
* Business proficiency in at least one other European language.
