About The Role
EKFB has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We are seeking a Section Engineer with structures experience for a major infrastructure project, based at our Southam site. This role manages junior engineers and assists the Sub Agent in construction operations.
You will report to the Sub Agent and supervise the site engineering team from construction to close‑out. Your responsibilities include supporting temporary works design schemes, liaising with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials, and ensuring works are carried out to required standards, programme and budget.
You will be responsible for managing the site setting‑out team, overseeing the performance and development of the Site Engineers, and identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub‑Agent. Monitoring and coordinating subcontractors’ performance, ensuring work is completed to contractual requirements, and maintaining up‑to‑date information and resources for the team are also key aspects of the role.
Additionally, you will assist in producing programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting.
