Outreach Tutor – SEMH School
Are you a qualified Teacher or experienced Tutor looking for a rewarding opportunity delivering 1-2-1 sessions for students that have struggled to engage in mainstream education? This SEMH school is looking to add a tutor to the team to deliver sessions onsite and in the homes of students who are facing barriers to learning.
As an outreach tutor you will be planning and delivering lessons for students who have been excluded from mainstream education. You will tailor your approach to meet the needs of each individual student and you must be comfortable delivering a range of subjects including maths and English. This role requires a full driving licence and access to a vehicle as you will travel between sites.
Responsibilities
* Teaching core subjects to Key Stage 3/4 students on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
* Tailoring lessons to suit the needs of individual students
* Making lessons engaging, interactive and informative
* Supporting children with SEMH needs in their studies
* Mentoring students who have struggled to engage with education
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher or experienced Tutor
* Ability to deliver maths and English and other core subjects
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel between sites
