About the Role: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Building Inspector to join our team, with a focus on housing refurbishment projects. In this vital role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of construction, maintenance, and refurbishment works across a variety of housing developments and estates. Duties: * Conduct thorough on-site inspections for housing maintenance, repairs, refurbishments and planned works * Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and relevant British Standards. * Identify and report construction defects, risks, and any non-conformities. * Provide clear technical guidance and compliance advice to contractors and project teams. * Monitor progress, quality, and safety, issuing detailed inspection and progress reports. * Liaise directly with local authorities, housing associations, and other relevant stakeholders. * Support project handovers, snagging processes, and final inspections, ensuring all works are delivered to the agreed specification. Ideal Candidate: * Proven experience in building inspection or construction quality assurance roles * In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM 2015, and relevant statutory requirements * Excellent communication skills * Strong report writing and documentation abilities * Full UK Driving Licence (essential – travel to various housing sites required) Company Benefits: * Basic Salary: £38,500 * 22 days holiday bank holidays * Company Van * Fuel Card * Company Pension
