We are looking for an experienced or highly motivated Cover Supervisor to support a large, friendly, and creative secondary school in Rainham. This school places personal development at the center of its curriculum and is looking for someone who can step in and lead with enthusiasm.
Your Core Duties
* Active Supervision: Managing Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Years 7:11) classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Instructional Support: Delivering pre:prepared lesson plans, responding to student queries on procedures, and ensuring tasks are completed.
* Behaviour Excellence: Implementing the schools behaviour management strategies to ensure a focused and respectful environment.
* Individual Support: Recognising and responding to the individual needs of students to ensure no one is left behind during the cover period.
* Collaboration: Providing clear feedback to the teaching staff and department heads at the end of each day.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience: Previous experience covering or supporting KS3/KS4 classrooms is essential.
* Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
* Education: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential, but you must have a strong command of English and Maths.
* Compliance: You must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to process one via Randstad).
* Work Eligibility: You must have the right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available for this role).
